great atmosphere. you can't beat the $2 pint night. where else can you get a pint of rogue shakespeare stout for $2. upstairs pub offers nice variety.

There's never a shortage of beers at Barley's, and you'll find good food if you ask for it. The warehouse type building in Knoxville's Old City lends itself well to this kind of establishment, as wooden floors and high ceilings go perfectly with microbrews and quirky music. Barley's is not afraid to book a band from outside the mainstream, and this is one of the things I like most about the place, whether I end up liking the band or not. This is not a place to go "clubbing" nor really a place to meet people, as most folks arrive as a group. Still, it's entertaining, often downright fun, and I'll be back again and again.

they get some good music acts rolling in through town. they also have a good selection of beers. i would go back...as long as i was with friends

The beer selection is fantastic, and much of it is on tap. The pizzas are good, not overwhelming, but the selection of toppings is as good as anywhere. Seating is available outside as well, which is nice if you want to get away from the live music.

Barley's Taproom is a great place to hang out any time of the day. They have a great beer selection (tapped and bottled) and there is always great live music going on. The bands that perform at Barley's vary in range of style and taste for everyone. Something new they have started is having a movie night every tuesday night. This is cool because they have $2 pints and you get to watch a great movie. The food is always great. I love their pizza and apps. Plus they have really hot bartenders and servers!!!
